Sam Wolkenhauer is a labor economist for the Idaho Department of Labor. In addition to providing economic insight and analysis on Idaho’s economy, he manages several forecasting projects for the state, producing projections of Idaho’s labor market and demographics.

Prior to joining the State of Idaho, he earned degrees in economics and mathematics from Eastern Washington University.
